Birth story

Here it is :) Friday morning After having 4 contractions, then just one the next hour my Monitor lady wanted me to call and ask the Dr. to give me a larger threshold of contractions I can have an hour. So I wouldnt be monitoring all day. So that call to my Dr.'s office was placesd that morning. I went on with my normal day of laying around. But also was doing a few things that didnt wear me out... opening bottles and steralizing them .. well I noticed my back had been KILLING me .. laying down didnt help .. 3 warm baths didnt help. And I was still cramping from that morning. I had just went to the Dr. the day before .. I wasnt dialated or anything. But he said .. I dont think you will make it to the c-section date. He told me to expect to feel a lil more aches and pains. So I wasnt thinking much into it. But the later it got the more uncomfortable I got, at 6:30 pm my Dr.'s office finally called back and she apologized it was so late. She said sure we can up the threshold on your contractions .. how are you feeling ? So I tell her I have felt crampy off and on all day, and that my back continues to hurt & does not go away and that my stool is a lil loose (sorry tmi). She says I think your getting ready to have a baby .. let me call Dr. Cook. She calls back and tells us to head to Labor and Delivery. We take our time .. get his Dad to get Ryan .. finish packing our bag "JUST IN CASE" and even stop to eat a quick bite then head to the hospital. We are seen and checked by one nurse .. she says Im not dialated or anything but she was getting some one selse to check me. The other nurse said MAYBE a 1 or a lil under. My Dr's orders were to give me a bag of fluids and demerol to ease the pain of my back. and check me again in an hour and half after I relax and get fluids. So Tim and I take naps and when the lady comes in to check it was the 1st nurse who felt and said I wasnt dialated at all. She said OHH WOW .. your easily at a 3 and I couldnt check you wll the first time. So my Dr. said we will be having babies in the morning, we were told to expect him later in the morning. He actually came in to our room at 2:30 in the morning to check on me and said he would be back at 7 to deliver the kiddos. At 7 we head down to the OR. Im nervous and scared and sitting in the OR> looking around waiting on my Dr. was not helping .. I was about to pass out. Finally things get started and it was a whirlwind. Everything went so fast .. Presley was born at 7:48 and Michael was born at 7:49. They came out screaming ! Tim went in to see the babies get cleaned up and moved to the nursey .. he told every one how they were and then came back to be with me. Our family got to watch through the window of the twins getting a bath. And all Ryan wanted was to see his momma .. It was so nice to see him. We were moved to a room and they brought me my babies ... Ahh it was a jo to hold them and see them fianlly.. I COULDNT GET OVER THAT WE GOT TO KEEP THEM IN OUR ROOM. They were 5 weeks early and such a great healthy weight and breathed perfect ... I was in AWE. Im running on fumes , my eyes constantly roll back in my head from me about to fall asleep. But Im pushing through it and hopefully will have some sleep coming soon. They are beautiful and perfect and everything with delivery went great. I couldnt have asked for any more.
